Telehealth Therapy for Women in California, Oregon, and Florida

I help women heal from eating disorders, body image struggles, and anxiety.

My Mission:

To help women break free from food and body struggles so they can live with peace, confidence, and purpose.

Whether you’re a mother wanting to raise your children from a place of health, or a woman longing to redirect your energy toward your faith, career, or relationships, you deserve freedom from cycles of guilt and shame.

Through evidence-based, secure telehealth sessions, I walk alongside women who are ready for healing but aren’t sure how. These sessions make support accessible from the comfort and privacy of home. Together, we untangle the pain of the past, calm the anxiety of the present, and create space for what truly matters: living fully, with a sense of purpose that goes far beyond food and body concerns.

Areas of Expertise

Eating Disorders

Struggling in your relationship with food and your body can feel like a never-ending battle. Whether you’ve struggled for most of your life or are just starting to notice some unhelpful patterns arise, therapy from a non-diet, weight-neutral approach can help you heal and find a new way forward.

Anxiety

Anxiety can steal your joy, your peace, and will even try to get in the way of you pursuing your purpose. Therapy can help you to uncover the roots of anxiety so that you can find freedom and start living the life you feel called to live.

Christian-based therapy

Faith and therapy together can create powerful change. Whether you’d like to open or close sessions with prayer, or you just want a place where your faith is welcomed without judgment, Christian-based therapy allows you to bring your beliefs into your healing journey. It’s about creating a space where both your mental health and your spiritual life are honored.

Trauma

Trauma is the past showing up in the present. Even when you’re safe, your body may still react as if the old wound is happening now. Sometimes the realization that change is needed comes in motherhood. Other times it shows up when you’re simply tired of the same patterns that no longer serve you. Therapy helps you untangle the past so you can live fully today.

Why Work Together?

I provide therapy that’s tailored to your unique needs—because healing should never be one-size-fits-all.

Healing from food and body struggles takes more than quick fixes. It takes understanding, compassion, and the right tools. Here’s what makes my approach different:

  • Specialized training across outpatient, IOP, and PHP levels of care
  • Insight as a former NCAA athlete into the pressures of body image and performance
  • Compassionate, evidence-based care using CBT and EMDR
  • Faith integration when desired, in a way that supports your healing
  • Pursuing Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) credential for advanced expertise
  • Awareness of cultural identity as a Black therapist
  • A focus on long-term freedom, equipping you with tools that last beyond therapy

At the heart of my work is this: I believe you are not choosing to struggle, and I know how deeply you want freedom. My role is to walk with you through the hard places and remind you that healing is possible — even if you aren’t sure yet.

Meet Your Therapist

Chantia Sturman, LMFT

My passion for this work comes from a deep compassion for women who carry the weight of body image and food struggles day after day, whether it’s at the table, in front of the mirror, getting dressed, or simply moving through life in their body. Early in my training, I had the privilege of learning from a mentor who showed me what it means to meet people with grace and understanding. That shapes everything about how I practice today. My heart is to walk alongside women with that same spirit, offering a compassionate place to be seen and cared for while equipping them with tools that bring hope, healing, and the freedom to live with purpose.

Let the Healing Begin

You don’t have to do this alone. Healing is possible, and support can make all the difference. Whether you’re working through an eating disorder, body image concerns, or stress that feels heavy, I’m here to help.
