Faith-Rooted Group Therapy for Food & Body Healing in California, Oregon, and Florida

Finding hope and healing—together

Struggles with food and body image can feel overwhelming, especially when you’ve been carrying them alone. Group therapy offers a place to be understood, gain practical tools, and find encouragement from others who share similar challenges. This group is shaped by Christian values, creating space for clients who want their faith to be honored in the healing process. At the same time, participation is open to anyone seeking support, freedom, and connection, regardless of belief or background.

What to Expect:

In group therapy, you’ll meet with other women who know the weight of food and body struggles firsthand.

Together, we cultivate a compassionate environment where you can share openly, receive encouragement, and practice tools that help shift long-held patterns. Each session weaves guided teaching with meaningful conversation, so you’re not only learning strategies for healing but also experiencing the strength that comes from community.
Over time, the shame and isolation that often accompany disordered eating begin to lift. Instead of feeling alone in your struggle, you’ll find yourself supported, grounded, and equipped with skills you can carry into your daily life.

frequently asked

Q: How do I know if I need group or individual support?

It depends on your comfort and goals. Group therapy is a great fit if you want support, tools, and encouragement from women who understand what you’re facing. Individual therapy may be best if you’re seeking more privacy or have needs that feel too personal to share in a group. Many women find the combination of both especially powerful.

Q: What’s the difference between group and individual therapy?

Individual therapy focuses entirely on your personal story and goals. Group therapy blends guided teaching with shared conversation, giving you both practical strategies and encouragement from others walking a similar path. Both offer unique benefits.

Q: How long do groups last?

Groups typically run for 8–10 weeks, meeting once per week. Each session includes both teaching and supportive discussion. This is a closed group, meaning everyone begins and ends together. This creates consistency and trust, so deeper connections can form. Occasionally, if the group agrees, new members may join in the first 1–2 sessions. After that, the group stays closed. If you miss a round, you can join the waitlist for the next one.

Q: What if I start off with group and realize I need more support?

That’s completely okay. If it seems like individual therapy or a higher level of care would better serve you, we’ll talk it through together and I’ll guide you toward the right next steps.

Q: Do you have in-person groups?

At this time, all groups are held virtually through a secure telehealth platform. This makes them accessible to women across California, Oregon, and Florida.

Q: Do you have a sliding scale for group rates?

Please reach out to find out if there are sliding scale spots available for the current or upcoming group sessions.

Q: What if I feel too nervous to share in a group?

That’s completely normal. You’ll never be pressured to share more than you’re comfortable with. Many women start hesitant but later find that connection in the group is one of the most healing parts.

Q: Do I have to be Christian to join?

No. While the group is shaped by Christian values, you don’t need to identify as Christian to participate. Anyone open to a group with this foundation is welcome.
